About the company – customer
Project and static office. We have taken over networks in Slovakia and the Czech Republic in four different cities under our care.
Initial situation identified by IT audit
Long-term problems:
- Slow work in the main design system.
- Slow work with server files.
- Backing up all systems, data, and services between individual branches and locations – so-called “OffSite” backups, geographically outside the location.
- Outdated hardware and software.
Comprehensive custom IT solution – network consolidation
- Greenfield solution in the Czech Republic – a 12-year-old mail server migrated to Microsoft 365.
- Increasing network throughput in Bratislava, see. IT solution for network optimization. The graph shows how data download speeds were adjusted.
- Repair of structured cabling and its correct connection (no longer needed small 5-port switches under tables).
- Established password security policy.
- Assistance with financing – leasing financing of hardware and software. Based on a complete audit of computers using our specialized software, we helped the client decide which computers need to be replaced for higher work productivity.
- We created a Disaster Recovery Plan (recovery plan), set up the computer network according to it to ensure its continuity, and also set up multi-level backup including “OffSite Backup” outside the location.
- Help with solving slow work in design software, where we had to closely cooperate with the client’s software supplier, but we did not burden the client and took care of everything for him.
Project in numbers:
- Man-hours worked: 230 hours, of which over 40 were on the weekend
- Number of technicians involved: 4 technicians
- Duration of computer network consolidation: 4 months
- Amount of backed up data: 20,000 GB
